My fathers funeral

A few weeks ago my father suffered a massive heart attack. He was treated and then moved to a nursing home/ rehab facility where it had looked like he was going to make a full recovery. However, a week later he then suffered many health complications. Things progressively got worse as both his kidneys failed him, he became septic and developed pneumonia. 

Yesterday, I sat with him all day holding his hand, praying with him, talking to him, playing Jethro Tull (his favorite artist) and playing Baltimore sports talk radio until Hospice came in to take him off the ventilator.

My father is no longer in pain as he joined his  parents in heaven at 8:45 pm last night.

James was the most loving, kind, and compassionate man I’ve ever met. To this day I’ve never heard anyone say a bad thing about him. He leaves behind three children as well as his wife. We are all in a state of absolute shock. We thought he was going to recover, but things snowballed downhill fast. We are all grieving in our own different ways.

My father was a home healthcare nurse and helped everyone for decades. It’s my turn to not only help him, but help my mother as I promised him I would. He didn’t deserve any of this. I’m crying as I write this. Honest to god I wish I could trade places with him.

Quite frankly we need help with funeral expenses as my mother has been out of work recently and my father was out of work for awhile leading up to this. If you can spare anything at all whether it be just a dollar or even a kind word it would mean the world to my family and myself. Thank you all ❤️
