Dear friends and family of Linda Wilson,
I am writing to you today to ask for your prayers and support for my awesome friend, Linda (Kronschnabel) Wilson who will again have open heart surgery at the ripe old age of 51. Linda and I have known each other for the past 5 years. She has been there for me through thick and thin - without ever asking for anything for herself. For those who know her, you will agree with me when I say what a special person she is. Her positive, up beat attitude touches us all enormously. She is one to never ask for anything for herself and doesn't dwell on the issues impacting her health or her financial well being. This is why I feel I need to write to you today on behalf of Linda.
The past 5 years has been particularly challenging for Linda and her husband, Jeff. Between them, they've had a broken hip, open heart surgery (two for Jeff and one for Linda), a blood clot and the burden of over $650,000 in medical bills.
Now, Linda is facing a surgery this month that is a follow-up to the life-saving surgery she had 2 years ago. It's a miracle that the right people were in the right place at the time when she needed them. Her aorta "fell down" in her chest cavity. It was life threatening and emergency surgery. Post surgery, she sends me a text that said "I'll be unavailable for the next few days". A Linda understatement...just an example of not putting emphasis to her own issues!
She and her family haven't fully recovered from the financial impact of the first emergency surgery and are now faced with the expenses of the upcoming one. Even with insurance, cardiac surgery is very expensive and Linda won't be able to return to her Your World Our Lens business for several months. This will be a huge financial burden to her family.
I am asking you to pray for Linda and possibly add to the power of prayer by financially assisting Linda and her family. The surgery is estimated to cost over $375,000. Your gift will help reach her modest goal of $75,000. This amount will help with the financial impact of this life saving surgery. With all she has given us and continues to give, this is an opportunity for us to give back to her. By pulling together our resources, we can help raise these much needed funds for Linda and Jeff and allow them to concentrate on the post surgery healing; physically and emotionally. Linda has touched us all with her heart, hands and talents. This is a time for us to help with her healing.
Financial support is not an easy thing for Linda (or Jeff) to accept. She would still like to give back in thanks with a small token of her appreciation.
