Kim and Kellan's Journey Home

Kim was taken by ambulance to the emergency room Monday afternoon at
Carilion Hospital in Radford after having some serious disorientation,
after arriving to the hospital she began to have seizures and suffered a
cardiac arrest. Kim was resuscitated and baby Kellan was brought into
the world soon after when Kim was stabilized enough for doctors to
deliver the baby.
Kellan is premature at 29 weeks, weighing only 2 pounds 2 ounces. Kellan is intubated and responding to stimuli however the doctors are still concerned because she is a premature baby, therefore she was transferred to the NICU at Roanoke Memorial this evening.
Kim had to be intubated and placed into a medically induced coma for a few days to further stabilize her. Kim was flown by helicopter to Roanoke Memorial this evening and is in the Mountain ICU, room 637.
Her Mom, Meghan and Eric are at the hospital with both of them.
