Lucas Rowe is on the Path to Nationals and the Road to Worlds.
Leading up to provincials hosted this year in London Ontario, Lucas trained 15-20 hours per week, while balancing full time work and a number of separate community based initiatives. The path to nationals and then the road to the World Cup in Budapest Hungary get consecutively harder, requiring much more time and focus. Each training camp is planned to be 30 hrs of training and preparation per week. This does not take into account time spent in mental/visual preparation and physical maintenance (sleep, physiotherapy, nutrition). Due to the increase of time spent training both body and mind, it is essential that the training camp and the road to competition are the primary focus during this period.
Training Program
- 8 week camp
- Strength Conditioning - 6 hrs weekly
Rob Cowie (Strength & Conditioning Specialist)
- Running - 6 hrs weekly
- Private boxing coaching - 2 hrs weekly
Syd Vanderpool (Head Trainer)
- Sparring 3 hrs weekly
- Technical development - 6 hrs weekly
- Focus pad work - 2 hrs weekly
Derek Lacey (Assistant Trainer)
- Body Maintenance- 2 hrs weekly- Massage
Jennifer Kadlec (RMT)
- Stretching - 6 hrs weekly
Planning, Preparing and Developing will be Lucas's full time job, he needs your help to travel the path and then the road.
