Toni Glynn's, Journey Unexpected
My phone rang and it was Toni Glynn, my best friend of almost 30 years. Honestly, to know her is to simply love her...you have no choice. I could write a book about all the zany, wonderful things that make Toni who she is. But the phone call. "Linda, I hadn't been feeling well for awhile, so I went to the doctor. They found a mass in my lung. Oh no, I thought, not Toni. Maybe it will be nothing. It wasn't. After several doctor visits, tests and more tests, it's stage 3, small cell carcinoma in her left lung and surrounding lymph nodes. So after my tears stopped, I went into attack mode. Failure is not an option. Her husband Kyle Glynn has already lost one wife to cancer, her twin sons are devastated as are her step son and step daughter she helped raise. She is a wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandma, and friend. She's the most positive person I've ever known. But she needs help!! Cancer destroys so many things.Toni lost her older sister to breast cancer at the age of 62. Through the long treatment process, Toni will be unable to continue working, causing a significant financial hardship before the costly treatment options. Kyle will also have to many days off. She and Kyle will need financial help with deductibles, co-pays, medication, driving to several medical locations, special food to keep her strong. I'm asking for help, from family, friends, survivors or in memory of a loved one who may have lost their battle. Please, let me help my friend.
