As many of you know, this past Thursday Toni and Jason suffered the loss of their twin girls, Lillian Elaine and Katherine Emily.
In Toni's own words from a recent facebook post she shares her heartbreaking story and remarkably manages to find some comfort in the love and support of those around her.
"I just have no words for what we suffered today. For some reason our daughters were chosen to be angels in heaven. I experienced the awe of childbirth and grieved the loss of two children all in one day. Beth Israel was the only hospital willing to take our case of pre-term labor and many complications involved. The amazing doctors and nurses there did all that they could do. We held our children for the few moments they had on this earth, we had them blessed and they went to heaven. I was able to sing to them and daddy was able to rock them as he always dreamt of doing. we couldn't kiss them enough and tell them how perfect they are. Lillian Elaine and Katherine Emily will forever be in our hearts and our life and will always be our daughters. This whole process from beginning to today's ending has been grueling and unfair for us and the twins. We will find a way to cope some how, it may take a long time but we have each other and so much great support in friends and family. Everyone has been truly amazing to us. We will always question why? But we may never know that answer. Thank you all for everything. We feel so loved and blessed."
Even though there are no words we can say to make it any easier, knowing that we all love and support them has and will help them get through this horrible tragedy.
So with that in mind, we are starting this page to collect donations so that we can send Toni and Jason on a much needed getaway to somewhere where they can relax, comfort one another and hopefully even laugh again.
