To my family, friends, and kind strangers,
This coming September I will be embarking on what I believe will be the journey of a lifetime. I have been accepted to Xiamen University in Xiamen, China; which is located on the Southeastern coast of China, directly across from Taiwan. As many of you know, I have been studying Chinese for nearly 6 years and this will be my second time going to China, but my first time studying there. I will be there from this September to the following July--my entire junior year of college!
This experience will be funded by the hard work I put in at my job this summer, any financial aid I receive from the University of Louisville, my parents, and any of you kind, loving souls. This is an educational opportunity that will bring me closer to attaining my goals, and each dollar you donate to me will directly fund it.
If you wish to contact me to learn more about my study abroad plans, I welcome you to do so. I will have a blog that will be updated weekly while there and I will post the link to that come September.
Most importantly, if you choose to donate, I will be eternally grateful, I cannot promise more than my gratitude, tales of my adventures, or small souvenirs. If you cannot donate I understand, however, I ask for words of encouragement and your prayers.
