Funeral expenses for Nick

Donation protected
My special friend, Gina Del Vecchio needs our help. Please help me raise much-needed funds to pay expenses for her precious son’s funeral. In October 2017, her beautiful son Nicholas Del Vecchio lost his battle with severe depression by taking his own life. Nick’s struggle to escape all the negative thoughts was hard fought for many many months. He was determined to win the battle, by seeking out help in every way possible. It is apparent that the mental health system is a global crisis, and quite honestly not properly equipped to help those that are suffering. This needs to change NOW! As a single mother and during the struggle, Gina quit her job to support her son to be physically and emotionally present for Nick and his siblings. No mother should ever have to endure the pain and suffering of not only watch your child in so much pain, but having to say good bye. She has had to say good bye to two of her precious children. Gina is one of those rare individuals that consistently shows compassion, genuine love, and empathy towards others. Her son, Nick also shared those same qualities. Here are some of the quotes from his friends regarding his compassion towards others: “… I owe my degree to Nick, I owe my career to him, I owe the fact that I can support my family to him. If it were not for his words of encouragement, I would have never continued to pursue the fight for a better life. I am forever grateful to have the rare opportunity to befriend such a loyal and dedicated friend. I never had many friends this close, and I never really had a family, and came from a broken home. He made me feel like we were family. I will cherish his patience with me (even through our little bickering), his sense of humor, and the fire he lit inside me to push through college and to not give up. Because of him, I continue to push through. I only wish I could have the chance to return the favor. We’ll always remember you. I’ll see you on the other side, my friend.” “…We knew each other between 23 and 24 years. In that time, I believe he shaped the person I am today….He taught me how to be down to Earth, carefree and take things day by day. Nick wouldn’t have it any other way. Be sure not to make a long recovery over his passing, he wouldn’t want you to. Instead focus on being the best at what you do, take monetary pleasures that put a smile on your face right now over things that’ll make you really happy later. I love you Nicky, thanks for being a great son, a great brother, and a great friend. Rest easy.” …You were such a great friend and you became a part of my family, even my kids called you Uncle Nick. As many others do, I feel honored to call you my best friend and I am eternally grateful for the memories that we made together. … I think everyone would agree that you were an absolute pleasure to be around. When someone was feeling down, you would bring them up. If someone needed something, you would be there to help with no questions asked. You were humble, kind, compassionate, a great role model and also quite the jokester. “ Please if you can, donate to help Gina and her family. Any amount is greatly appreciated. In memory of Nick, please spread mental health awareness and be there for someone in need. Just as Gina and Nick have. Thank you for your time and support. Forever 29
