THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!

My name is Finn Simmersbach. When I was born, the doctors told my parents that I might not ever walk or talk because of severe asphyxiation at birth. And now I am one of only 3 players in the state of Hawaii (in my age group, born 2000) to make it into the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Regional Pool! Region IV is made up of the 14 western states and I am really excited about training with the best college, regional and national coaches in the country. My goal is to raise $1,500 to pay for my airfare and my camp fee.

The 2013 RIV ODP pool will be used to form teams to represent RIV at the USYS ODP Inter-Regional events, National pool, the 2013 Surf Cup, and a trip to England to train with and play against the youth academies of clubs such as Everton, Blackburn, Manchester City, and West Ham United.

Below is the current regional pool list. My name is 4th from the bottom. I still can hardly believe it is there! Thanks for considering to help.

Here is some stuff off the website:

What is the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program?

The US Youth Soccer ODP Philosophy
To identify players of the highest caliber on a continuing and consistent basis, which will lead to increased success for the U.S. National Teams in the international arena.
Purpose
The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team will be selected for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.

What are the Benefits of Participating in US Youth Soccer ODP?
1. Development as a player. The opportunity to train and play with the best player's in one's age group in the region.
2. Quality instruction from nationally licensed coaches.
3. Quality competition. Games against other state association ODP teams.
4. Exposure to regional and national team coaches.
5. The opportunity to represent one's state, region, or country in competition.
6. Exposure to college coaches.
