Jackie's Fight through Cancer

Jackie Coburn needs us.  Will you help?

For those who don’t know Jackie, she’s been a professional artist for the past 30 years, running her successful painting business for the past 20 years.  Primarily, her creative nature is expressed through delivering fine art, specialty finishes, and faux to fine homes and commercial properties. She’s also been intensely training in the healing arts for the past 15 years.  A tireless giver, she’s volunteered in various charitable events and leadership trainings for the past 20 years.  In her early business years she was a busy single Mom running her business and her home and her charitable contributions while raising her two beloved children who are now grown; Morgan 21, and Collin 19.

Jackie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, she underwent lumpectomy surgery to remove the tumor, followed by radiation treatments.  A 2nd case of breast cancer was detected in 2014, resulting in a double mastectomy.  As a product of these cancers & their treatments, Jackie’s healing path has been a long & bumpy road of multiple serious complications causing need for many hospital visits & healing time before and after. Now, 6 surgeries later, it seems her body is finally healing well & out of the complication zone.  A recent MRI showed Jackie is now cancer-free!

Throughout this grueling experience, Jackie has remained cheerful, upbeat and grateful.  Early on, Jackie chose “Life” and has called this path a great adventure, rather than a challenge.  She has taught her kids, friends and family what a positive effect that cheerful & dedicated optimism can make in a choice between life or death.  Through her steadfast faith and visions of victory, Jackie would attribute the biggest credit for her recovery to the many prayers and uplifting encouragement from the ever-growing circle of friends and family that pulled her through the healing journey.  Now, this circle of support and prayers has grown to reach around the world, offering light to Jackie’s path by thousands of people she’s never met.

Even though Jackie is now cancer free, her battle is not yet over.  She now faces severe financial crisis due to the countless months of recovery required after every surgery.  Additionally, the added time off under doctor’s ordered bed rest due to numerous staph infections has caused life & business to come to a critical halt.  Her last surgery was 6 months ago, when another infection began to cause massive tissue death; her doctor put her back in the hospital in order to take a 12” graft of skin and muscle from Jackie’s back.  This latest surgery has caused more damage to weakened tissues, causing difficulty to freely move her upper torso as she slowly heals. This has added to what was already a heavy financial pressure on her to maintain basic needs.  More time is needed to heal before she can start to rebuild her business.  Meanwhile, the stacks of bills continue to grow, causing Jackie much duress.

In order to help her lift the heavy weight of financial worries she’s been silently carrying throughout all of this,  please donate now to this special fund that has been set up for her behalf.   Please share Jackie's inspiring story.
