Hello work family and friends,

My name is Lucia. I work with Shannon and have been thinking about her and her family a lot over the last few months and wondering what we can do to help her so here I am coming to you.

Shannon and I met at work in 2011. I am a very stay-to-myself kind of person when I am at work and Shannon quickly found a way in lol..... She has always been so helpful to me and others and it has always been very much appreciated. So now it is my turn to come through for her and I hope you all will help me.

I know many of you have had many questions about Shannon (How is she doing, when is she coming back, Is she ok?). I will try to keep this short and sweet.

First, let me say that as of right now she is home and recovering. When she will be able to return to work is unknown at this time. As we all know she left for medical leave a few months back and unfortunately hit a few bumps in the road with recovery, some of which have become life-threatening. While she is doing well at the moment but her journey to a full recovery isn't over.

To respect her privacy, I will not go into full details but just know this has not been an easy time for her and her family.

Right now, she is to try and stay as stress-free as possible and focus on getting better. One of the things I have always loved about this company is the way we can all rally together in one of our work family’s times of need. If you are able and can find it in your hearts, I would like to start up a collection for her and her family to help them out while she remains off work.

Anything that you donate will go to help Shannon and her family with the cost of her medical expenses as well as assist with living expenses while she is out on leave.

This was just one way I could think of to help her so that some of her stress and worries can be alleviated.
