Hi, my name is Martin, and welcome to the BiCONIC Film Festival!

We center on the Bi+ umbrella, bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, multisexual, fluid, omnisexual, or anyone attracted to more than one gender. We were launched in 2023 by artists and activists who perceived the programming of other LGBTQ+ film festivals as lacking a focus on the bi+ communities!
We are trying to rent a theater space in the Mission within walking distance of Dolores Park, our go-to outdoor space, and would like to fundraise $5000+ to cover rental costs, advertising, and misc venue costs.
- You will receive a thank you on the screen as a founding sponsor for your donation in this first round of $5000
- If you give $100 or more, you will receive recognition as a founding sponsor and BiCON
- If you give more than $250, you will receive the above, and a special mention is our printed program
We have a FilmFreeway page, a website, and our name, and we hope to center bi+ folks and build a fun and informative community event, Bi & for the Bi+ Community!
The event will stage a program of independent features, short films, and digital media for two evenings over three months apart.
One evening is attached to the Bi-BQ on the Wednesday before SF Pride in June, which has been going on for over 15 years, along with a Bi+ Short film program that was closed down last year, and the other evening during Bi Visibility Week in September which has never had a film program attached.
Both nights will make up the year's BiCONIC Film programming.
We want to focus primarily on works created from an activist and community-building perspective, and we hope you will send us your Bi+ content to share with the community!
