As many of our friends and family are already aware, Barbara Dove, aka Dove, MorningStar, and Nana Dove - An awesome motorcycle instructor/coach, pilot, Blue Star Priestess, mother, grandmother, and and friend, is presently in the hospital recovering from an emergency splenectomy. The recovery time is expected to be between 4-6 weeks, and will not permit her to do any kind of physical labor in that time. Barbara's career is physical in nature, and seasonal.
My mom was working to begin a new chapter in her life - moving back to Massachusetts in September after years in NH. This injury is a major set back in preventing her to take that next step.
Only 2 years ago Barbara was the victim of a hit and run which put her out of work at the end of her season, she's still waiting on a settlement to pay off the hospital bills from that injury, now there will be new bills and less funds.
It is my intention to get a job to try to help her earn the money she would have made working during the next several weeks, but we are asking our community of loved ones friends and family for their support to help us give her the ease of mind to focus on healing and getting back on her feet. To help her with hospital bills and get her started here in MA "on time".
In addition to the bills, Barbara will need to get her bike fixed, acquire a car, find an apartment, and get moved in, before mid September.
