Our community workshop in Memphis

We are raising money for the completion of a workshop and art studio space for the 3116 Community located in Memphis, Tennessee. We live in an impoverished neighborhood of the city called Binghampton. As a group of people united by our love and faith we are seeking a more communal and creative life to benefit one another, as well as our neighbors and friends.
The money collected will go toward wiring and insulating the building as well as plumbing (we have already completed the framing and exterior of the building). The building, once completed, will serve as an extension of our creative outlets for the benefit of the 3116 Community as well as the greater community. We hope to cultivate the arts and encourage the potential of individuals through the use of this structure. This is the spirit of our work.
Supporters can also help by sending letters about interesting ideas and stories from other communities and how they operate in their respective cities or towns. Additionally, the donation of tools for use in the shop once it is complete would be greatly appreciated.
