On August 10, 2017, Coach Cole Catalano was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.  Coach Cat will need to undergo treatment for the next 4-5 months.  During this time he will be unable to fullfill the duties that he has dedicated himself to at St. Thomas Aquinas and the many other kids he coaches.  The funds raised in this campaign will help offset living expenses as well as medical bills during his leave of absence.

Coach Cole “Cat” Catalano has enjoyed success as a baseball player, graduating from Fontainebleau High School and extending his baseball career to Southeastern Louisiana University. He continued his work in baseball as a coach, and has been instrumental in transitioning over 100 high schoolers to play at the next level. His devotion to youth guided him to coaching positions with various high schools and travel teams such as Saint Thomas Aquinas, Northlake Christian High School, The Hammond Yankees, and Prodgigy Performance Club. He bagan his teaching career 4 years ago at St. Thomas Aquinas where he currently serves as the school Campus Minister, senior theology teacher, and assistant baseball coach. As a private school teacher and coach, medical expenses will be extensive. Donating to Coach Cat is our way of giving back to him for all of the work that he has done as a player, coach, teacher, and mentor.  This campaign is sponsored by the STA Student Council and the Falcon Alumni Association.
