Paramedic Levi Garrett Medical Cost

Donation protected

I want to help my hero, my Daddy, Levi Garrett.  I believe that there are a million reasons why he deserves this.  He has spent over 30 years helping others as a paramedic.  He has rescued children, teenagers, adults and elders from every situation you could imagine.  He has worked through having health problems of his own and has taught many young paramedics in the field.

I can't deal with the things he does.  I'm tender hearted and would cry my eyes out on a weekly basis if I'd seen all of the things he has.  I couldn't follow in his footsteps in the path of helping others on an ambulance.

However, now is my time to help him.  He was hit by a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel on interstate. His car rolled three times and he was injured during the crash.  He was in a very safe vehicle and for that, I'm thankful.  The car is destroyed.

He had angels looking over him as that car rolled over and he walked, actually crawled, from the car.  He can walk.  He has a compression fracture in his spine and will be out for recovery for a couple of months.

I can remember being a kid and hearing how my Daddy rescued a kid from an intersection.  The kid had gotten out of the house without his mom knowing.  Thanks to my dad, he was returned home safely.

My dad has put himself in danger countless times to rescue others.  He could have been injured much worse in this crash and I thank God that he wasn't.

I'm looking forward to the day my Daddy can retire and take my sons fishing, teach them just a fraction of what he knows.  He has excelled at everything he has found an interest in.  He has so many talents and I want my children to learn from him.  They adore their Granddaddy.

But, he isn't ready to retire.  He loves what he does and he wants to get back on the ambulance and I'm just hoping he will take the proper time for healing for himself.

In order to ease the financial hardship this time for healing will create, I want to help in any way I can.  While I will be doing many other things to help, I feel like there are so many who he has helped and so many who could help him now.

There are many heroes in our country, in this state, in others.  There are men and women who risk their life every day that they leave home.

This morning, when MY HERO left home, he was going to go help others.  However, he didn't make it to work. He is in the hospital recovering from this wreck.  He was the patient today who was rolled into the Emergency Room from an ambulance.

It is his turn to receive help and I'm going to do everything in my power to make that happen.  Will you help me say THANK YOU for over 30 years of service and help relieve some of the stress that this situation is creating?
