Hello family, friends and sisters,
As many of you know our sweet Alpha Gamma Delta sister Madisen Burgess lost her parent's home, several horses were injured, and numerous vehicles thrown about in the Moore tornado on May 20th, 2013. Our friend and houseboy Garrett McKibben, a Delta Chi, was also involved in this disaster. He lost his dog as well as his house, and suffered several minor injuries. While we are so very blessed that everyone is alive and safe, both of these families will need time putting their lives back together as much as possible. The money raised will be divided between them, Madisen's portion in a check to their veterinarian and Garrett's in a WalMart gift card. I know that many organizations are asking for money right now, but this funding will go directly to our friends and sister.
If you are not able to donate funds, please remember that there are plenty of other ways to help the victims of this disaster. I am still in the Norman area and will be all summer so if you need any help transporting anything please let me know. I am still hearing there are needs of band aids, water, baby wipes, diapers, formula, etc. Please continue to share this page in the coming weeks.
