Julia was unexpectedly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), also known as acute myelogenous leukemia, just weeks before her 30th birthday. Chemotherapy started Tuesday, May 21st. She will undergo a week of chemo treatment, followed by at least four weeks of observation at New York Weill Cornell Hospital. Although Weill Cornell is at the forefront of AML research and treatment, that comes at a cost.
In the coming months, Julia will need a lot of support from her friends and family, both emotional and financial. Your donation will directly help Julia and her family pay for significant medical expenses (not everything will be covered by insurance), costs associated with recovery, and lost income. (Fees associated with this site are approximately 8%, so feel free to add that to your donation.) If you have a PayPal account you can also donate with fewer processing fees on: keepcalmanddanceon.org.
Let's all help Julia get back up and dancing again as soon as possible.
Keep calm and dance on!
Thanks so much for your support,Team Julia 2013
