Help Bridget, Rob and Sean Regroup

On Wednesday, May 22, my cousin Bridget gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy. Immediately after labor, Bridget complained of a headache and said she couldn't see out of her one eye. Immediately after that, Bridget's blood pressure spiked and she lost consciousness.
Bridget was rushed to the Royal London Hospital for emergency neurosurgery. Before the surgery, her prognosis was dire, and her family was told to prepare for the worst. But the surgery went as well as anyone could have hoped, and now Bridget is showing signs of recovery.
Though she's not yet out of the woods, during the last few days Bridget has been awake and talking. She recognizes her husband Rob as well as her parents, and she even remembers giving birth to baby Sean, which is nothing short of a miracle given the trauma she just experienced.
Bridget's mother Deborah writes:
"Bridget had a condition called AVM, a congenital malformation of vessels in her brain which ruptured during labor because of hypertension (preeclampsia). None of this was anticipated as she was in perfect health until then. Her prognosis was more than grave, and we thought we had lost her.
"Her husband, Rob, began to ask everyone he knew to pray. Bridget is a spiritual and religious person. ... So, I, too turned to my friends, some of whose faces I've never seen in person, asking for prayer. They call Bridget their miracle patient. She has perfect recall of her life and events, but has yet to move her left leg and has limited mobility of left arm.
"Her headaches are worsening, but I am told this is to be expected. She is not out of danger yet, as her blood pressure has to be in a certain range for her brain to heal without additional pressure. Nonetheless, she is alive. She recognizes her family and most importantly, knows and loves her beautiful baby. We are told that the potential for recovery is good."
Bridget is someone I've admired my whole life. She's caring, thoughtful, intelligent and determined. I know that if she can pull through this hardship, she will be an amazing mother to little Sean. And if anyone can get through this, I know she can.
Bridget, Rob and Sean live in England. Some of their medical expenses will be covered under the National Health System. Nevertheless, they still need our help to pay for transportation expenses, the loss of Bridget's salary, and all the expenses the NHS won't cover - which are many.
All donations will go directly to Bridget and Rob's family and help them get back on their feet. Donations of any amount are sincerely appreciated.
