300km challenge for Fundação António Aleixo

We are Timo Kokkila and Markus Aho from Finland. Timo is the CEO of Pontos, the developer of Ombria Resort, a luxury sustainable development that is being built in the interior of the Algarve, Portugal, and Markus works for the Finnish pension insurance company Varma.

Teaming up with Portuguese athletes, Nelson Viegas and Rui Silva, we will run the Algarviana Ultra Trail - ALUT in a team and fundraise for the Portuguese NGO António Aleixo Foundation , who works across multiple social action projects and fights against exclusion in the Loulé Municipality.

In total, we will run approximately 300 km along the inland pedestrian path of Via Algarviana in a 71-hour time limit, starting from Sagres, Algarve, on 25 November, all the way to Alcoutim, on the other side of the region, where the race ends.

All donations will go to Fundação António Aleixo, a non-profit organization based in Loulé that works across multiple social action projects and fights against exclusion.

Somos o Timo Kokkila e o Markus Aho da Finlândia. Timo é o CEO do Pontos, o promotor do Ombria Resort, um empreendimento sustentável de luxo que está a ser construído no interior do Algarve, Portugal, e o Markus trabalha para a companhia finlandesa de seguros de pensões Varma.

Juntamente com dois atletas portugueses, o Nelson Viegas e o Rui Silva, iremos participar na prova Algarviana Ultra Trail (ALUT) em equipa e angariar fundos para a instituição portuguesa Fundação António Aleixo , que trabalha em múltiplos projetos de ação social e luta contra a exclusão no Município de Loulé.

No total, iremos percorrer cerca de 300 km ao longo do caminho pedestre interior da Via Algarviana num tempo limite de 71 horas, partindo de Sagres, Algarve, no dia 25 de Novembro, até Alcoutim, na outra ponta do Algarve, onde a corrida terminará dia 28.

Todo o dinheiro doado será entregue a esta instituição de caridade que ajuda centenas de famílias desfavorecidas, pessoas desempregadas e crianças.
