30 mile Run for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

This summer I was treated in the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and had a laparotomy performed by the most fantastic surgeons, doctors and nurses. Being admitted for a major operation during the pandemic was extremely daunting as no visitors were allowed in to the hospital meaning that I had to go through the struggle alone. Thankfully, I was able to experience firsthand, from beginning to end, the incredible, round-the-clock care and attention provided to me. I have nothing but praise for the gynaecology and CCU team who made me feel as relaxed, reassured and pain-free as possible. I will forever be in debt to the hospital and its staff.

As I now feel fully recovered from my surgery, I will be running 30 miles over a month in order to fundraise for this amazing charity whose money goes solely towards the hospital’s life-saving research, diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer patients worldwide. (....starting on the 7th when I’m allowed out of isolation).

I owe my success story to them and with your support and donations, others can live to tell theirs too. ❤️
