30 in 30: Love Your Melon Campaign

As you know fundraising and community are my greatest passions. I have been incredibly lucky to work with some amazing organizations and people from the various community events and initiatives the last few years. One close to my heart is our Childhood Cancer Awareness month in September. I feel very blessed to have met so many wonderful kids and families during September who are battling this terrible disease. I not only want to raise funds for this cause, but awareness on the lack of funding for pediatric cancer compared to all the other cancers out there! (Sidenote: Please support all cancer organizations!)
With that, I am creating a 30 in 30 campaign. My goal is to raise enough money to purchase 30 (THIRTY) Love Your Melon beanies, have friends (YOU) write a note of encouragement to a child going through cancer, and deliver a beanie EVERY DAY throughout the month of September. Any additional donations will go towards The Austen Everett Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities in Seattle! The more donations the more we can support all these great organizations!
What is Love Your Melon? Love Your Melon is an apparel brand dedicated to giving a hat to every child battling cancer in America as well as supporting nonprofit organizations who lead the fight against pediatric cancer. Their nonprofit partners work in the field of pediatric oncology, fund cancer research initiatives and provide immediate support for families of children battling cancer. Fifty percent (50%) of profit from the sale of all Love Your Melon products is given to our nonprofit partners.
Who is The Austen Everett Foundation? The Austen Everett Foundation works to inspire, empower, and embolden the lives of kids battling cancer by Uniting the Fight of these extraordinary individuals with professional and collegiate athletic teams. Children’s hospitals nationwide have partnered with AEF to provide this powerful experience to kids fighting cancer with teams in their communities. AEF is working with teams in the MLB, MLS, NFL, NHL, NWSL, WNBA, and NCAA. #Unite2Fight
Who is Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska ? Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska, supports seriously ill children and their families. They provide a "home-away-from-home" to help families through a difficult time.
My ask to you, and I present a list as you all know I love lists!!!!
1. Donate any amount you wish. Each Love Your Melon, Gold Foil Beanie, is $35.00 each. S&H is $0 since WE are purchasing 30! Again, any additional funds will go to The Austen Everett Foundation and RMHC Seattle.
2. Write a handwritten note of encouragement to a child going through cancer. If you want to send me text for the note I am happy to write one out for you! (Great option if you can't do a monetary donation.)
3. I will deliver a beanie each day to a child going through cancer in the month of September.
That's it!!! 3 simple steps. I hope you join me in the fight against childhood cancer! THANK YOU!
