Help Me Celebrate My 30th Birthday by Supporting Animals in Need
Hi everyone,
My name is Yhiin, and as I approach my 30th birthday, I wanted to celebrate it in a meaningful way—by giving back to a cause that is very close to my heart.
I actually did something similar for my 25th birthday, where I held a fundraiser instead of receiving gifts. It was such a fulfilling experience, and I’m hoping to do the same again this year—this time in support of Bantay Hayop Davao, an organization I deeply admire.
They don’t just rescue animals—they work closely with local government to run campaigns, help prosecute cases of animal abuse, provide legal assistance, and educate communities to prevent cruelty before it happens. Their impact goes far beyond the shelter, and that is something I truly respect.
On a personal note, my connection to this cause comes from my own journey. Growing up, I was afraid of dogs and didn’t fully understand them—especially strays. About 8 years ago, I was able to overcome that fear, and it completely changed my life. Since then, I’ve made it my mission to support animals in any way I can, because they rely on us for care, protection, and compassion.
Today, I’m lucky to share my life with my 7-year-old dog here in Australia, and I also care for four Aspins in the Philippines. They have brought so much joy into my life, and this fundraiser is my way of giving back.
I may not be able to promise a huge amount, but I truly believe that every little bit counts. Whether it’s $5 or $50, your support can help provide food, medical care, rescue efforts, and continued advocacy for animals who need it most.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to support Bantay Hayop Davao and the important work they do.
Thank you so much for being part of this with me. It would mean a lot if you could donate or even just share this campaign with others.
Let’s make this birthday count—and let’s keep being the voice of the voiceless
—Yhiin
