Hellooooo friends and family! As you all know it's soon to be my 30th birthday (praise God, I was in my 20s for farrrr too long a time) and this year, I’m doing things a little differently.

Instead of a regular gift list, I’m asking everyone to donate £30 or $30 (or whatever you’re able to give) to support something really close to my heart; my uncle’s school in Accra, Ghana, which is currently undergoing refurbishment.

A big part of this project is making sure the upgrades are sustainable and long-lasting. I'm exploring the use of durable, responsibly sourced natural materials and looking into solar energy solutions to help power the school reliably. The goal is not just to improve the space now, but to create something that can support students for years to come. So if you (or someone you know) works in sustainable building or materials, I’d love to connect. This side quest is really fun because I'm working on the reno from scratch - material sourcing, concept of the space, design of the classrooms etc.

We’re raising funds to improve the learning environment for the 100 students that attend (ages 1 - 11), including:

I'm also aiming to get a donation of 6 interactive whiteboards for each of the classrooms. I know you all have fancy jobs at fancy places so if there's another way you can help let me know!

I’ll also be collecting donations of old tech (iPads, laptops) and books to help set up a small library and give students access to digital learning tools while at school.

I've set the fundraiser total at 1300 but I'd love to raise 3000 as I'm 30, yaaa get!? I will be topping up whatever we raise to reach 1300. Let's see what God does, maybe I'll be able to top it up to 3000!
