Please help this very special family stay together
3 year old David is very sick at the moment and needs your help. He is just about to be flown away from home to Sydney to receive ventilation support for a respiratory illness. It's the third time this year that David has been critical and has to be flown away from home.
Most of the time David is just like any 3 year old. He loves cars, trucks, Inside Out, Zootopia and going to church with his family.
His family wants to remain by his side to help him get better but living between two cities is tough, confusing and expensive. They often struggle to make ends meet at home but with additional transport, accomodation, living and medical expenses things are nearly impossible at the moment.
David has Doose Syndrome which has complications including severe epilepsy, he has brittle asthma, global developmental delay and suspected Autism.
He is part of a very unique and special family. His mum and dad both have disabilities and so does his big sister.
David's dad Martin has epilepsy and Aspergers and autism. He tries so hard to provide for his family, educating himself and picking up work where he can. His mum Kirsty has worked in child care and is carer to David and his big sister Leah. Kirsty has Hashimotos disease, depression and anxiety.
Leah is a delightful little girl who love music and dancing. She is also autistic, has asthma and Mosaic Turners syndrome.
