<div>Most people will never see the side of animal rescue that we see.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The frightened dog tied to a gate and left behind.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The kitten found hungry and alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The injured animal with nobody coming to claim them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The animals that arrive scared, neglected and unwanted.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Katie has seen it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a long-time Galway SPCA volunteer, she’s been there for the heartbreaking cases, the emergency rescues, the happy endings and everything in between.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She knows how much it takes to give these animals a second chance.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That’s why, on the 27th and 28th June, she’s taking on one of the toughest challenges of her life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In just 24 hours, Katie will climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon
</div>
<div>The highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There’ll be exhaustion.
</div>
<div>There’ll be aching legs.
</div>
<div>There’ll be very little sleep.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There’ll almost certainly be moments where she’ll ask herself why she signed up for it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>But when things get tough, she’ll keep going for the animals.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Because every day at Galway SPCA,
</div>
<div>we meet animals who have nobody else fighting for them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are a small charity.
</div>
<div>We don’t have endless resources.
</div>
<div>We rely on ordinary people doing extraordinary things to help us keep going.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is Katie’s way of helping.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can spare a few euro, please support her challenge.
</div>
<div>If you can’t donate, please share this campaign
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation will help us feed, treat, rescue and care for animals who desperately need it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From all of us at Galway SPCA
</div>
<div>and from the animals whose lives will be changed because of your kindness Thank You.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Katie, we’re so proud of you.
</div>
<div>Go smash those mountains
