Starting over after a fire

My friend was eating dinner at our house on Saturday night and discussing how grateful she was for her current living situation when she received a text from her housemates that her kitchen was on fire.
We jumped in the car and raced 7 minutes up the road. We arrived to a house full of smoke and rushed in to pull out her two cats. Sadly, we were too late. Both cats died in our arms as we sat in her driveway.
The house was extensively damaged by smoke and soot. The house can be repaired, but it is going to take several months before anyone can live there.
The loss is extensive and the emotional toll is even greater than the physical loss and will take a long time to heal. We are looking to raise at least $5,000 to help get her back on her feet. The money raised for her will go to finding a new place to live, providing the basics for her and her two dogs, and paying for the therapy she will need to move forward after this horrific trauma.
