Shawna's Funeral Expenses

My sister. My best friend. Gone suddenly and too soon at 52 years of age on November 22, 2017. With a love for God, a beautiful smile, and an infectious giggle, Shawna touched the lives of everyone she came into contact with. Her easy-going personality, listening ear, patient heart, and giving spirit, Shawna was always making someone feel better. Whether it was the time she sat all day in the hospital playing a track of her nieces favorite songs she created to ease her through post surgery pain: or the many times she gave up a day of work to help push a wheelchair on one of my many fieldtrips! She never missed a niece’s basketball or softball game or a nephew’s wrestling match, football, basketball, or baseball game.  In addition to attending countless games over the years (both in town and as far away as Nevada), Shawna didn’t miss a play, recital, concert, or graduation ceremony; traveling as far away as San Diego to watch her niece graduate from SDSU. She enjoyed spending time with family at every holiday, family function, birthday party, and those times of “just because.” She was a substitute teacher for students with and without disabilities, a Sunday school teacher, an avid reader, a writer, and a lover of puzzles. Shawna will be sorely and greatly missed.

I want to honor her life in death, providing her the type of funeral and burial that represents how she lived her life, simple, yet beautiful. In order to do that, I need your help.
