LAYKA K-9 War Hero Needs Help!

Donation protected
Layka is a Belgian Malinois who served our country overseas.
While serving in Afghanistan, U.S. military combat dog Layka was shot four times by the enemy at point blank range.  Despite her injuries, she continued her attack and subdued the shooter, saving her handler and other members of her unit.  Layka underwent seven hours of surgery that required the amputation of her leg but saved her life.  Her handler Staff Sgt. Julian McDonald, fought hard to adopt Layka and she is now a part of his family.
Last Sunday Layka fell and sustained an injury to her remamining front leg; it will require surgery and rehabilitation.  We flew Layka and Mr. McDonald to the University of Tennessee Vet Center where she will undergo surgery and rehabilitation.
Layka was there to serve our country and we need to be there for her.
Expenses for Layka's surgery and rehabilitation are currently estimated at $10-$12,000.00
Barry and I hope you will consider joining us in the effort to help Layka.  All money raised will go toward her care and you can donate here.
