Heart Transplant
My name is Frances Grove/Nielsen. I am 48 years old and a mother to 3 amazing boys. My health journey started back in 2002 when my body was attacked from virus killing all but 10℅ of my left side of my heart. I was couch bound and on oxygen for 1 1/2 years before having a pacemaker put in. Life was good for several years after that. But my heart has continued to go down hill. Thru out the past 13 years I am now on my 3 pace maker. In 2013 I had to have a Lvad put into my heart. This pumps your blood for you. I am on the heart transplant list, but at the time weighed to much for the procedure. I have lost 138 pounds and I am now #1 on the list. This means that I have move from my home in Colorado to Salt Lake area until I receive my new heart and 6 months to a year after I receive it. My son has opened his home to me but I feel guilt not helping out. My husband travels 6 hours to see me when he can. Money that is raised will go towards bills, both medical and to help my son with my housing and gas for family to come visit me, since I have to stay within an hour from my hospital at all times.
