Weston’s Warriors

Weston Wade Herndon is a kind, funny 9 year old boy who is full of life. In 2022, Weston was on a Peachtree League youth baseball team that made it to state level championships. The oldest son with three little brothers, Weston is a total momma’s boy and beloved big brother. In addition to his accolades, Weston is a warrior who is beginning the fight of a lifetime.

We are asking for support as Weston and his family embark on the journey to battle a brain tumor. After months of unusual symptoms and visits with various healthcare professionals, a brain tumor was diagnosed at UVA Health System on January 5, 2023. After consultation with top pediatric neurosurgeons, a plan was devised to surgically remove as much of the tumor as is safe and feasible. Following surgery, testing will determine the nature and malignancy of the tumor. Radiation and other therapies will follow.

Our intention for this GoFundMe page is to alleviate any financial concerns for Matt and Megan as they focus on their most important roles as Weston’s parents and biggest supporters. As the primary breadwinner, Matt will be out of work for an unknown length of time. Beyond the obvious medical bills, Matt and Megan have three other children who will need care and support during this time. Following surgery, there will be an untold amount of treatments and therapies to help Weston fully recover.
