Aurora's fundraiser

It’s crazy how life works - everything is going perfect one minute then life hits you. My aunt Aurora is a very silly, outgoing, sweet person. She is a mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She will do anything for the people she loves and has always put her family first. Behind her stands her husband of almost 13 years; they are high school sweethearts and share one of the strongest bonds. They have a sweet little 4-year-old angel named Jayden. He will literally keep you laughing the entire time you are with him, just like his mommy.

In March 2015, after a visit to the hospital for a strong pain in her lower abdomen, test showed that she had a tumor in her left ovary. After surgery in May, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and went through six rounds of chemo. Unfortunately the chemo did not help and she was given a diagnosis of a rare cancer called neuroendocrine carcinoma. She has since gone through six more rounds chemo - about nine different drugs. Recently, another CT scan showed that the tumor has continued to grow despite the chemo and has spread to other areas of her body. We will be opting for a second opinion at MD Anderson. With her husband being the only provider, all the medical expenses, drugs and traveling, bills have piled up. We are asking for your prayers and any contribution that your heart may desire. Aurora is a strong fighter and will continue to fight this battle with her family right by her side.
