About Us
Though we currently live in PA, we were born and raised in NY. A year ago, we were lucky enough to get legally married in NY, surrounded by our family and friends.
Our Story
We have been a couple for nearly 4 years and married for just over a year. As is usually the case with many couples who are newlyweds, the questions from our family and friends (and especially our parents) have shifted from "When is the wedding!?!" to "WHERE IS THE BABY!?!" We have both wanted to be fathers since we were very young. However as gay men, it is (obviously) impossible to achieve this goal on our own.
Keenly aware of this, we have been saving for gestational surrogacy for the past three years (even since before we were married!). Having one of us be immediately genetically, and thus legally, related to our child(ren) is currently the safest route to parenthood, as adoption laws related to LGBT couples are continuously evolving across the USA.
Because surrogacy is hideously expensive, we are appealing to the old proverb "It takes a village" to help us reach the finish line. While we realize that our goal of $35,000 is very high, it represents only a fraction of what we have been trying to raise in order to make our parenting dream a reality. We hope you will find it in your heart (and wallet) to help us reach our goal!
