YWAM Ships DTS & Outreach Mission Trip

Hi my name is Joseph Trevizo for those of you who don't already know that, I've been a Christian for about a year and a half now and let me tell you, it's been amazing! The way The Lord works is mind blowing! From the people He's taken out of my life and the people He's put into my life, to the doors He's helped me close and the doors He's opened and continuing to open up for me. I never thought so much would change/come from me putting myself last and God first! We truly live for an awesome God!

Not too long after the day of my salvation, January 21st of 2013 I prayed and prayed seeking God out to find out what direction the next step he wanted me to take was. Turns out it was KIDS!:D Elementary, middle School, and high school...kids, kids, kids! I was excited! I found myself helping out as an aid at first then eventually jumping into the rotation of leading bible studies for kids grade 1-5 as a leader in my churches Awana Club
.  He's given me a passion for our younger generation and being able to be a part of there early walk with Christ is such a blessing!

Kids are the future of this world and to know that there are kids on fire for Jesus at such young ages is awesome! In addition to being able to minister to them, pray with them, and just joke around and have a good time with in Jesus name is amazing!

Earlier this year I got to take part in my first youth christian camp.  Hands down STILL the best weekend I've had all year!:D About 200+ middle school kids divided into 18 teams, I was blessed to be one of the leaders for one of the teams.  In the three short days we spent at camp, God was at work!

Can you find me? haha:)

With all that has happened in my life prior to me getting saved, up to the day I got saved, and this past year and half since the day I gave my life to Christ; He's shown me so much! I know now that there is reason and meaning for my being, He's assured me that he has a plan and a purpose for my life and I am stoked!:D I've learned to rely on him for guidance when it comes to listening to what He wants me to do.  Being human, I've had my doubts with some of the doors He put me in front of but He's never failed me, every door He's put me in front of He's been right there with me! It's crazy amazing! At this point in my life He's confirmed for me already that the next move He has lined up for me is the mission field! Crazy huh!?!? He's blessed me with the opportunity to do it through the University of the Nation's Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Ships DTS (Discipleship Training School).

I don't know if you clicked that link...hint hint, do it do it!!!:D The Lord knows my love for the water so good, He wants to send me out on a boat! Isn't that sick!!! Because we'll be on ships/boats, we'll be able to reach Isolated people on remote islands that are only reachable by boat. Which means there's a possibility that I'll be able to share the love of Christ with people who have NEVER even heard of him! Places like the Amazon, Papua New Guinea, and the Pacific Islands. I get super excited just thinking about it!:D

One thing I've learned since I've submitted my life to The Lord is that we're not meant to do life alone. Sure we can try, I've tried...I didn't get very far. My pastor always says "many hands, makes light work". When we come together as the body of Christ, great things happen! With that said, I want to extend an opportunity for you, yes YOU!:D to partner with me on my mission. In order for this mission to be possible I have to raise roughly $10,000. Of that, $4,235 will cover tuition, lecture fees, books, housing, and meals. Another $4,000-$5,000 will be for outreach, the actual mission! We'll be on a boat so that covers food for about two months and the supplies we will need to bless the people of which ever place the Lord leads me to. Things such as, materials needed to create a clean water source, electricity, and working sewage systems. The remainder of the funds will cover my laundry expenses and phone bill during my entire time with YWAM. I was able to get a six months leave of absence to go on this mission from my job but of course it's unpaid so I won't have any source of income while I'm there.

I've prayed and prayed about this a lot, being that this is my first mission the money was something I worried about. As I've prayed over and over again, he tells me over and over again not to worry, but to consider it already paid for! Isn't that amazing!:D...I think so! I've come to a point of contentment because I know he's got my back When God guides, God provides! I just ask that you pray about it and if you feel in your heart to partner with me on this exciting journey financially, God bless you!:)  Another way you can partner with me on this mission is prayer, lots and lots of prayer. If you could keep me in your prayers I'd really appreciate it! This whole experience is super brand new for me so it's got me a little nervous, scared, and excited all at the same time! Like I'm still tripping that He's brought me this far into it's actually going to happen! So please if you don't mind, pray for me:)

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, may the Lord be with you all of your days, God bless you!
