120 Mile Swim in Lake Michigan
I grew up in the Indiana Dunes National Park and have always felt a strong connection to nature and water.
In the next several weeks, I will be swimming from Chicago to St. Joseph, MI for a total of 120 miles nonstop and unassisted. I will have a guide boat with me for my swim for my safety, feedings, and to ensure proper documentation of the swim are recorded for verifcation for a new world record.
I will be using the funds to pay for the fueling of the guideboat, provide food for the crew members, and other things neccesary for the swim.
The funds will be used immediately to secure necessary supplies for the swim. If any of the funds received are not used, the surplus will be donated to the Nature Conservancy.
This swim has been a lifelong dream of mine. I want to bring awareness of the importance of clean water worldwide. This record may not last forever, but I will always be the first to complete a double crossing of Lake Michigan.
I have made lots of sacrifices to train for this swim, as have my friends, family and even my cats. Any help would be greatly appreciated and any support will help fuel my mind, body and soul throughout the swim and after.
