Kellan Cook-Thomas Fund

Four year old Kellan Cook-Thomas was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Type B (B ALL) on July 3rd.
On that day, Kellan and his parents started out at urgent care, were then sent to the ER, and then ended the day with Kellan being admitted to Blank Children's Hospital.

On the Fourth of July, doctors completed a bone marrow procedure, lumbar puncture, and placed a port in his Kellan's upper chest. He received chemo and a blood transfusion later that night.  Kellan received more chemo on July 7th and was discharged later that day.

The rest of the month of July was about figuring out their new normal; outpatient clinic appointments, chemo, and meds. Kellan was on steroids everyday for that first month, which was a challenge. The effects of the steroids included a huge appetite /focus on food and mood changes. His appearance also changed due to those meds, especially puffiness in his face.

The month of August was met with more doctor appointments and another hospital stay.

Their family has been so appreciative of all the prayers, love, and support that family and friends have already shown to them.  Kellan still has a long road ahead as he fights this battle against Leukemia.

We would love to bless the Cook-Thomas family financially as they have to miss work for Kellan’s appointments/treatments and for unexpected time in the hospital as Kellan is way more susceptible to infections and other complications.
