Coopers back surgery

My dog cooper just turned 3 years old he’s a chocolate lab/Weimaraner mix who’s full of love and life. One day He fell on a slippery floor and hurt something in his back leaving his back legs paralyzed. I’ve done all I can for him financially at this time. The doctors say it may be a herniated disc but absolutely a spinal problem.  I’m here asking for everyone’s help to get him fixed and on to a better happy life. He refuses to give up I tote him around like a wheelchair at the moment and he’s happy with that but very confused as to why he can’t move too well. Right now the vet said I have two choices we either get the surgery or have to put him down which I don’t want to do as he is full of love and life.
