Learn Italian & Sing in Italy

Hello! My name is Kyle Sullivan! I am a student at CSU Sacramento studying vocal performance in the Bachelor of Music program. This summer I am trying to attend an intensive Italian language and song/opera program in Italy! The three-week program, called Lingua e Canto (LEC), is located in St. Angelo in Vado and I will be learning Italian, getting voice lessons, attending and singing on master classes taught by famous opera singers, and performing opera scenes!
The program is run by Dr. Robin Fisher and David Small in cooperation with Scuola Italia.


This program will give me important language and vocal technique skills, and allow me to gain more performance experience in a foreign country! This will be an extremely important experience which will help me in my career as an opera singer in the future.


I am trying to raise funds to pay for the flight to Italy and to pay for food and and my housing expenses while I am there.

Flights from SFO to Bologna (as of 14 May 2013) start at $1776.50.


My room will cost $380 for the entire trip.


I will need about $25 for food per day for 34 days! I just calculated that and it comes out to $850 if I spend $25/day.
