Save Janet's Eye Sight

Hi Everyone! My name is Janet LeLeux, hi hello! One day while driving home in January, the middle lane disappeared as I drove, 2 cars would turn into one, objects would appear extremely closer to me than they were, and even cars that were using there turn signal on the feeder roads appeared to be merging onto the highway (trust me, in reality, they were not). While having dinner with a friend that same evening, they noticed that my eye stayed facing inward while speaking with them. I started to freak out a little at that time, and then while watching tv that evening, I noticed that there were two men on tv (when in reality there was only one).
The next day I immediately scheduled an eye appointment as I have had eye vision issues in the past. Upon seeing me, my regular doctor stated that he had only read about what was happening but had never seen it himself, so I was sent to a specialist the same day. Once there, even the specialist said he hadn't seen it in with someone of my age (I am only 32). He stated this type of issue was more common in children or the elderly. Basically what was happening was BOTH of my eyes are crossing inwards at the same time, causing me to have double vision.
At this time, I started to wear an eye patch in order to drive, work, not have people look at my eyes doing funny things, enjoy a movie from time to time, etc. So, at this point, my lifetime dream to become a pirate really did come true! =) I had an MRI done to look for any signs of Multiple Sclerosis (which came back completely clean) and had blood work done to look for any other clues (nothing!). I saw the same specialist twice, and with no change, before I was sent to Dell's Children's Eye Center to see a children's opthomologist.
My first visit was relieving b/c Dr. Woodward explained what was going on, and I was finally able to convince myself that I wasn't crazy after all!! I was prescribed a fresnel prism (google it, it is what Hillary Clinton is wearing now too) to help redirect the light that my eye see's to make it where I no longer have double vision. My second follow up showed signs of improvement, so, another prism was prescribed that would make my eyes work a little harder to hopefully correct. I just completed my 3rd visit today, and the eyes have digressed again, so I have been cleared to have surgery to correct the problem.
So far I have spent $392 for doctor visits and $1200 for my MRI. I have been cleared to have surgery to correct this issue on June 26, 2013 (Strabismus Repair - Bilateral medical rectus recessions). This is where I am having to come in and ask for help. My insurance deductible for surgery is $4,000. I have been told that there isn't a payment plan option, so I am working to try to fund raise and find a way to obtain donations to help pay for this procedure. Most of the money for the surgery will go towards the anesthesiologist, and I am pretty sure that is something I am going to need! LOL
But seriously, I know not everyone can help. Every dollar will help me at this point. Heck, just sharing my story will help! I have managed to pay for all of my procedures (well, the MRI is on a payment plan) up until this point, but now is the time where I need to reach out for some help.
Thank you for even taking the time to read the story of how I even got to this point. This is something that scares the crap out of you when it first happens, and when an option comes along to correct it (especially b/c you are just 32), you have to do everything that you can to try to embrace that opportunity. Thank you again. Love you all!!

- Janet

(Please be advised that if we raise over the surgery amount (woohoo) that any overage's will go towards my MRI bill)
