Wer wir sind und was wir vorhaben:
Wir, Neele (Verden/Aller) und Basti (Flensburg), haben uns im Herbst 2016 auf einer Festveranstaltung eines Verbandes kennengelernt. Wir beide haben angeborene Querschnittlähmung und Wasserkopf (Spina Bifida und Hydrocephalus) und sitzen beide im Rollstuhl, Neele kann allerdings mit Orthesen, je nach Bodenbelag, eeine gewisse Strecke gehen.
Wir sind beide reisefreudig, liegen in vielem auf einer Wellenlänge und sind beide zu kalkuliertem Risiko bereit. Also starteten wir bald unsere erste kleine Tour in Deutschland nach Einsiedel bei Görlitz. Das besondere: Wir hatten keine weiteren Helfer dabei und haben gesehen, dass wir in jedem Fall gut zurecht kommen! Natürlich sind ein paar abenteuerliche Situationen passiert, aber wir haben sie beide im Team gemeistert.
Eigentlich ist das logisch, aber es zeigt halt auch deutlich: Rollstuhlfahrer sind ganz normale Menschen, die miteinander richtig stark sind.
Im Anschluss an unsere erste Großreise entstand eine fixe Idee, die sich im Lauf der Zeit konkretisierte und zu einem ausgearbeiteten Plan entwickelte, dem zur Realisierung nur die endgültige Komplett-Finanzierung (über das vorhandene Eigenkapital hinaus) fehlt.
WELTREISE (Dauer ab 1 Jahr) !
Davon profitieren im ersten Moment natürlich wir selbst. ABER: Langfristig die Gesellschaft! Denn: Was bedeutet das, wenn wir losziehen? Aktive Inklusion, auch in Kulturen und Gesellschaften, die dies nicht kennen wie wir. Wir werden sehen wie es sich in anderen Ländern mit Rollstuhl lebt, Vergleiche ziehen und schauen was sich dort ändern könnte oder welche Ideen wir nach Deutschland zurückbringen können. Wir wollen nicht als Touris reisen sondern uns so nah es geht an die Bevölkerung bewegen.
Angedacht sind nach der Reise, die hoffentlich bereits im Verlauf öffentlichkeitswirksam sein wird, Vorträge, Buchveröffentlichung und ähnliche Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, vielleicht aber auch Mitwirkung bei öffentlichen Projekten zur sozialen Inklusion.
Dass wir die Weltreise machen werden, steht fest! Damit sie ein möglichst großer Erfolg wird und wir am gesellschaftlich-kulturellen Fortschritt möglichst gut mitarbeiten können für uns alle, brauchen wir eure kleine Mithilfe. Natürlich können wir die Reise besser vorbereiten, je früher wir das Geld zusammen haben. Für den Anfang planen wir erstmal eine Europatour über 20 Länder, die dann im fließenden Übergang nach Arabien, Afrika, Asien, Australien und Amerika geht, bevor es schweren Herzens nach Europa zurück geht. Wenn wir den erhofften Betrag haben, können wir an sich starten, dann haben wir Europa und etwas mehr finanziert.
Was ihr für uns tun könnt ? Spenden
Was wir für euch tun können ? Spender werden regelmäßig Postkarten erhalten, Zugang zu einem Youtube-Channel (er existiert bereits, liegt aber noch brach) und regelmäßige Infos per E-mail zum Beispiel. Nach der Reise und bei Fertigstellung des Buchveröffentlichung bekommt dann jeder ein fertiges Exemplar.
Übrigens waren wir 2018 in Luleaa / Nordschweden (Polarkreis) und 2019 in Newcastle. Transportmittel waren Züge, Taxi und Schiff.

Who we are and what we're up to:
We, Neele (Verden/Aller) and Basti (Flensburg), got to know each other in autumn 2016 at a festive event of an association. We both have congenital paraplegia and water head (Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus) and are both in wheelchairs, but Neele can walk a certain distance with orthoses, depending on the floor covering.
We both enjoy travelling, are on the same wavelength in many ways and are both willing to take calculated risks. So we soon started our first little tour in Germany to Einsiedel near Görlitz. The special one: We had no further helpers with us and saw that we got along well in any case! Of course some adventurous situations happened, but we both mastered them in the team.
That's actually logical, but it also clearly shows that wheelchair users are normal people who are really strong with each other.
Following our first major trip, a fixed idea was developed, which over the course of time became concrete and developed into a worked out plan, which only lacks the final complete financing (beyond the available equity capital) for implementation.
WORLDTRIP (duration approx. 1 year) !
Of course, we benefit from this at the first moment. BUT: In the long run the company! Because: What does that mean when we move out? Active inclusion, even in cultures and societies that do not know this like we do. We will see how it lives in other countries with wheelchairs, draw comparisons and see what could change there or which ideas we can bring back to Germany. We don't want to travel as tourists but to get as close as possible to the population.
After the trip, which hopefully will already be publically effective in the course of the trip, lectures, book publications and similar public relations work are planned, but perhaps also participation in public projects on social inclusion.
That we will make the world trip is certain! In order for it to be as successful as possible and for us to be able to work as well as possible on social and cultural progress for all of us, we need your small help. Of course, the sooner we have the money together, the better we can prepare the trip. For the beginning we plan a European tour over 20 countries, which then goes in the flowing transition to Arabia, Africa, Asia, Australia and America, before it goes back with a heavy heart to Europe. If we have the amount we had hoped for, we can start on our own, then we will have financed Europe and a little more.

What can we do for you? Donors will regularly receive postcards, access to a Youtube channel (it already exists, but is still unused) and regular e-mail updates, for example. After the trip and upon completion of the book publication, everyone will receive a finished copy.
