Raising Funds for Art Moy

In the spring of 2014 our friend, Arthur Moy, was rushed to the emergency room coughing up blood and unable to walk It was discovered that Art's liver was diseased due to a condition that runs in the family. Initially, the doctors informed his wife, Barb, that his illness was so bad that 1) he would probably not make it hrough the initial crisis and 2) if he did, he wouldn't  qualify for a liver transplant. Amazingly, Art did pull through. Test after test have been done over the past few months. The bad news is that Art also has cancer in the liver on top of his initial condition. If good news can exist in this situation, the doctors' initial prognosis that he would not qualify for a liver transplant has proven to be wrong.


The tests have confirmed that Art is a very good candidate to receive a liver transplant. Art is now on the organ transplant list. Obviously, when something like this happens in someone's life,  their whole world is turned upside down. Art is no longer able to work full-time. Though he has insurance,  a lot of the costs are not covered.


Art has been great friend to many people. He has opened his heart and home to many people. He is truly a good person. Friends are currently arranging a fundraiser to help defer some of the costs that Art and his family will incur during his recovery from the liver transplant. Any amount that can be given in this cause is greatly appreciated.
