Bring My Sick Dad Home

Donation protected

Thanks for taking the time to read this guys. It is not often that I find myself helpless, but I can tell you that right now, this is the worst feeling I have ever felt. Joey and I are 6 months along into being parents, we are finally getting settled, and we have our hands full with Joeys new store in Ontario. We never expected something like this to happen.
On Monday, May 6, while visiting family, my father felt ill and went a the hospital in Mazatlan Mexico. After running tests and drawing blood, they found that my dad had 25% of the red blood cells that he should have. He's never been sick before. We didn't expect anything serious since he has always been in good health. We thought it would be a cold or the flu. After reading the tests results, doctors found that my dad had leukemia and he had to have immediate blood transfusions. He has since gotten worse and developed pneumonia.
He is 59 years young. There were no signs of any of these issues. I'm trying to get my father back from Mazatlan, Mexico, to the United States. The insurance company seemed to cooperating but the hospital in Mazatlan was not. There basically holding my dad hostage and I can't get him home. If we don't get him home soon, I'm afraid for his life. He's gotten worse. My fathers PCP tried to arrange transportation from hospital to hospital. Insurance claimed they were working on it. Then, the hospital in Mazatlan claimed my dad was ok and did not need further attention but would not be released until they received a cash payment for their services. Yet they won't accept his U.S. insurance?
My mother is in the hospital with several family members. The hospitals claim is an outright lie. My dad went in to the hospital a week ago. He has had six blood transfusions since and is on a respirator. He is not able to breathe on his own. My mother tried to have my father flown out on Sunday through a private plane that was supposedly set up through his insurance company. The hospital, after realizing that my father was leaving, refused insurance for his stay alone! They want cash! To top off the situation, the insurance company did NOT set anything up at all. No means for helping my father were set up by either party. To make things even worse, my father is blood type O-Negative. Due to the rare blood type, the hospital has claimed they needed family members to donate. Our family has donated the blood. The whole situation is so bad that I have reached out to the American Embassy for support. I'm reaching out for some help. I am begging for help in saving my fathers life. We have arranged for an oncologist and an air ambulance but we need to raise the funds to pay the hospital close to $20,000. We can get my father home in the hands of his own doctor and medical staff. The hospital in Mexico and the insurance company are not cooperating. My family is down in Mazatlan. They are at the hospital and they know the condition my father is in.
My brother Michael flew to Mazatlan Sunday, May 12. He worked with my husband to bribe a nurse into giving him documents regarding my fathers condition. The documents actually claimed that my father needed to be moved to the United States for bone marrow testing. They also suggested an air bus transfer with an Oncologist!! The insurance company and all parties involved are making it impossible to get him home safe.
He needs to get back to the United States so that we have a fighting chance in saving his life. I am a 22 year old mother with a 6 month old son. My husband Joey and I would give the shirt off of our backs to anyone in this situation as we have in the past. I don't want anything, but my dad home safe. We need your help. We ask that you please help us raise enough money to get my father home and into the hands of U.S. doctors. Anything helps, $5, $10, $20, whatever you can manage, we will be forever grateful for your considerate heart! PLEASE. My father means everything to me.
