Help Sheli Kiss MS Goodbye for good!

Donation protected
My name is Sheli Smith. I was a Senior Police Officer and crime scene technician with the city of Euless for 10 dedicated years until I was suddenly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. My husband is a Lieutenant with the Euless Fire department and has served the citizens for more than 15 years. In April of 2012, I was on patrol when I suddenly became paralyzed on my right side and was ultimately diagnosed with MS. I have since had some improvement from that initial attack, but was forced to go on long term disability due to the impairments that MS has caused me. I am unable to work due to the extreme fatigue, constant pain and unrelenting muscle spasms. These are all common symptoms of multiple sclerosis and are very debilitating for most individuals that suffer from them. I can tell you that I loved my job more than life itself and would do anything to get back my career as a police officer. What I miss most though is quality family
time with our two daughters, Delani aged 9 and Kayla aged 21.
As most of us would probably do, we started researching this horrible disease and learned that we did not know nearly as much as we thought we did. While there is currently no known cure for this disease, there are very promising studies that show a procedure called Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT)
can and will halt the progression of multiple sclerosis as well as reverse some of the damage already done. HSCT is currently only offered in less than 10 hospitals around the world. This is the only known procedure to show greater than a 85% success rate at halting and reversing the damage done by multiple sclerosis.

I have been accepted by a hospital and physician in Moscow, Russia to have this procedure performed in October 2013. The total cost for the procedure is $40,000. This does not include travel expenses while staying the 30-45 days required for the procedure in Russia. We are hoping to receive donations in the
amount of $50,000 to cover all of our cost to have this life changing procedure completed.

Any and all donations will be appreciated! If we make more than the $50,000 needed or if we don't use it all, the extra will be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to help other victims of this horrible disease.

Thank you all so much!!
