Mark Faddis fights cancer

On December 26, 2012 Mark was on his way home from work and experienced a Grand Mal Seizure. He was able to avoid an accident and safely make it to a bakery parking lot. EMS transported him to the hospital and after running a CT Scan it reveled four masses and masses in his lungs. On January 3, 2013 Mark underwent brain surgery to remove one of the masses and was found to be malignant. Shortly after the doctors explained that his diagnoses would be Stage 4 Non cell Lung and Brain Cancer. A week later Mark underwent another brain surgery to remove another mass. After spending two weeks in the hospital Mark was released to come home. The doctor informed us that he would have to complete 6 weeks of radiation five days a week and chemotherapy once a week for seven weeks. Shortly after treatment Mark began to have seizures at home and we went back to the hospital. The new CT Scan showed a new mass had grown into the cavity of one of the masses that had been removed. The doctor was able to add this new mass into the treatment plan. At the end of the six week radiation treatment another MRI of the brain was performed and it reveled the three masses were no longer present, but a new mass has appeared. He will soon begin treatment on that mass. Due to the Lung Cancer he has been recently been diagnosed with COPD and will be required the use of Oxygen. As for the masses in his lungs we have a follow up CT scan to find the status of those masses.

During all of this Mark's 19 year old daughter was diagnosed with Chari Malformation and would be required to have brain surgery. Her surgery was a success and she is now home healing after a two weeks stay at the hospital.

Mark has been married to Melissa for 25 years and has 5 children and 3 grandchildren. He has been employed with Bridgestone Firestone for the last 20 years. He is a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mark has always put others in front of his own needs and tries to help out in anyway he can. The family Faith in God is strong and believes for a full recovery. Right now the family is taking one day at a time. But there are household and medical expenses that are keeping this family worried. Will you help?
