Isabell's heart transplant fund

Donation protected
Our amazing 13 year old daughter Isabell needs a heart transplant and the costs of her hospital care, home care, medications, travel expenses, and the unpaid time out of work for mom and dad to be with her throughout will be impossible for us without the help of family, friends, and anyone else who can help us in this time of great need.
A little background on how we came to this point....
Isabell has had heart disease for almost all of her life and in 2008, at the age of 5, she had her first catheter surgery at Boston Children's Hospital. Since then she's had numerous hospitalizations and 4 more surgeries to no avail. Throughout all of this she remained asymptomatic and led a very normal life. She's always been full of energy and always has had to be on the go to the point of driving us crazy! Just this past spring she played her first season of softball in the CLCF gals fast pitch league and was a natural. In May, however, she had to have an ICD implanted to prevent sudden cardiac death from the serious arrhythmia problems and enlargement on the left side of her heart. During her June followup with her cardiologist we found out that her heart was getting worse and was severly enlarged and that her visits to BCH would be much more frequent.
On July 29th Isabell had to be admitted to BCH for acute heart failure and we found out that she will need a new heart a few days later. The wait for her new heart is estimated to be anywhere from 6-8 months, but possibly over a year, and in the coming months, after she gets discharged to home care, she will have to visit BCH weekly to make sure that her heart function doesn't get worse and force her to have to remain hospitalized until her doner heart is available.
We have never had to ask for financial help with Isabells medical bills but now that we have exhausted our savings, sick leave, and vacation time we will have no choice but to humbly ask for everyone's help. We do this reluctantly but out of necessity to give her the best care and parental attention that any child in her situation deserves.
So please, with all of our thanks, help us to start a fund that will not only help us pay for her medical care and prescription bills now, but will continue to help Isabell in the future. Heart transplant patients can on average incur lifetime medical bills in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, even with insurance, and no one that isn't wealthy can do this on their own. One of the ten to twelve medications that she's going to be on will alone cost over $600 per fill, just to give an idea of what we're facing, so please help if you can.
We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of support that we have received so far and hope that the generosity of others will help us and Isabell survive this tragic ordeal that is ahead of us with one less thing to worry about.
Sincerely,
The Marcotte family
