Community Service and Spanish Immersion

My name is Rio Dennis and I am from New Jersey. I am currently a sophomore at The Taft School in Watertown, CT. I am currently on a $43,000 scholarship to attend this school. I am currently taking two honors classes, one accelerated class, one regular level class and an art. Since 5th grade, I've wanted to study abroad and learn about a different culture and get immersed in the language. This summer, I have the opportunity to go to Santiago, Chile to get immersed in the language and do community service. Last year, I went to the Dominican Republic for a week (on scholarship) and taught English as a second language. I really hope that I can do a similar thing in Chile. However, the cost is really high especially because the flight is leaving from Miami, Florida so I have to fly there first. The tuition is about $7,000 and I have received a scholarship of $4,000 and I really need help fundraising the rest. The money will give me the opportunity to help kids in need while, at the same time, achieving a goal of mine. Any amount given would help and I really thank you for any and all support.
