Sharoyal Studies Abroad

My name is Sharoyal Brown and I am a senior majoring in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Relations at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As a first generation college student, I set out to make the most of my college experience by taking on opportunities to grow academically, professionally, and socially.

With that being said, I am happy to announce that I've been blessed with the opportunity to abroad through UNC Charlotte's exchange program. I will be studying Communications and International Relations at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, located in Milan, Italy, for the Fall 2016 Semester. I look forward to immersing myself into the Italian culture while taking advantage of the educational excursions this program provides.

As a scholarly woman, I value opportunities to expand my cultural knowledge and self-awareness. As a role model, I aim to demonstrate perserverance and show that where you come from does not determine where you're going. Studying in Italy would be yet another stepping stone I climb in reaching my educational goals and this is why I need your support!  Any financial assistance will be greatly appreciated.
