Spare Kidney for Mike- TRANSPLANT

Three years ago Mike was diagnosed with Acute Kidney Failure. 2.5 years ago he started dialysis 3x week. 2 years ago he was approved as a viable "low risk" transplant recipient. Finally - through all your support and prayers and doctors and heroic donation attempts and his faithfulness to medical direction and after 2.5 years of 32 oz. per day fluid restrictions, and meds and exhaustion and travel difficulties and 15 hrs/week being plugged into a machine via needles while working a Full Time job...
Mike has an approved DONOR. And we have SET A DATE for TRANSPLANT at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Mid- August.
And. As we do nothing alone because "the hopes and joys and griefs and anxieties of all the people of the age are the hopes and joys and griefs and anxieties of the followers of Christ", we again turn to our family, friends, community of support, heroic strangers, generous neighbors... and ask for your support.
Here is what we need:
1.Prayers - this has a lot of moving parts. Please pray for Mike's continued relative health and the health and vitality of his generous donor. For the entire surgical team, transportation, support folks, and all involved.
2. HOTEL - some of you travel a lot and would like to be able to use your Marriott rewards for good. Vacations are good. You also have the option of sending a few over for the immediate boarding needs for those supporting us, especially in case we end up there longer than expected. The campus hotel is a Marriott conference center, and you can now share your points with "Christine Dalessio". Find out more at Marriott Rewards Points Share
3. LOCAL HELP - if you're local and can help with maybe a meal or some "Mike sitting" when Christine starts the semester again, that would be awesome. Please contact us directly.
4. Financial Help- We are so grateful insurance covers both surgeries, medical expenses for our donor, and hospital stays. But there are a lot of moving parts around this and it's going to be a stretch to get it all covered . We are asking help for surrounding needs: travel, lodging, support help, medical items not covered by insurance, at-home needs, cleaning help, etc. (Whatever isn't covered by Marriott points, we will pay out of pocket.) Christine will otherwise be at an airbnb which costs significantly less (but is also a little further away). This is for surgery day and also for recovery support.
Your love and generosity have gotten us this far, and we are grateful for you.
We take nothing lightly. We know what great good a phone call or a card can do. We know what a relief from stressors it is to eat a meal in a clean kitchen, or pay a bill without worry. We have been in the darkness with the light of your prayers keeping us from despair. THANK YOU.
