Help Myla's Surgery And Recovery

Donation protected
Myla is a 4 year old shih tzu and the greatest joy in my life. She's so happy, funny, and full of energy. Even when she's sick all she wants is to be with you and still tries to be her happy self. Yesterday I came home to find she had thrown up many times and was lethargic. She would try to follow me around the house and would give up and lie down. I called the vet and she got checked out. My vet suggested we go for x-rays at Askey Animal Hospital. We were there for 4 hours and discovered there is something in her stomach. I had wanted to bring her home for the night to return in the morning, and the vets had reluctantly agreed. However, as soon as we got to the parking lot she started throwing up repeatedly and I brought her back inside to be admitted. Myla spent the night with IV fluids and they tested her blood and did another x-ray at 7am. The item in her stomach is absorbing her stomach juices and her stomach had distended further. The vet has suggested abdominal surgery to remove whatever is in her stomach and that surgery will hopefully take place today. If all goes well she will recover in 3-5 days under veterinary supervision. However, complications can arise such as removing a portion of the small intestine (this has also distended) if the intestine has been damaged. She may also have leaking of the gut or intestines following the procedure. She currently has pancreatitis which the vets have suggested is likely a result of the foreign body in her stomach. Seeing her in this depressed state is heartbreaking and I will do whatever it takes to get her back to her normal self but the veterinary care is very expensive. So far the vet bill is $2143 and the surgery is proposed to cost between $1500-2000. There will also be recovery in the veterinary hospital following her procedure. From my understanding each overnight stay with her medication, IV fluids, and veterinary care is approximately $800-$1000 . They've said they can release her to recover at home sooner if she starts eating on her own after the surgery. Any help at this point would be greatly appreciated. I know there's a lot of people who know and love her as much as I do. Even the smallest contributions can add up and I'd be forever grateful.
