Perry's Funeral

Donation protected
My name is Joan.  I'm Perry's youngest sister.  He also has 3 brothers and another sister.  Perry had a special bond with his mom who never gave up on him even though he struggled with staying sober.  He cared deeply for her and hated to make her worry.  He was always a believer and his faith was strong, but on his own he couldn't do what he wanted to do. This year, he decided to make a change and he did! He went to the hospital to get treatment.  Unfortunately, that's when we realized he had serious damage to his liver.  The doctors also found a cancerous lesion on his liver.

Over the summer and fall, Perry stayed in a rehab facility to get physical therapy so he could get strong enough to withstand chemotherapy.  In this center, he became depressed and often refused medicine and therapy.  Because his body could not get rid of toxins and he wasn't taking the medicine, he was often confused.  He lost weight and muscle mass. Eventually, he ended up in the hospital.  It became clear to us that the end was near.

Perry passed on December 15th while surrounded by his family.  We hope to honor him as we say our goodbyes to the kind, gentle, generous man that we knew him to be.  He had no savings or life insurance, so we ask that if it is on your heart to donate towards his funeral, that you do so.

Thank you for your kindness and we hope to see you at the funeral.
